Samarium cobalt pot magnet Ø 25 mm with threaded stud, holds approx. 3 kg

This pot magnet made of samarium cobalt (SmCo) with a diameter of 25 mm has a stud with an external thread. The stud can be fed through a hole, for example, and secured with a nut. Its seal-welded casing is made of stainless steel and is corrosion-resistant, alkali-resistant and acid-resistant.

Compared to classic pot magnets made of neodymium or ferrite, this SmCo magnet is heat-resistant up to 350 °C. As a result, the magnet can withstand thermal stress. This, in turn, makes this SmCo magnet with an adhesive force of approx. 3 kg very versatile in its use. You can, for example, utilise it as a fitting on stove doors or use it in paint shops and other production facilities with high temperatures.

The casing also protects the samarium cobalt magnet from moisture and wet conditions. Hence, you can use this pot magnet permanently outdoors to attach garden decorations or parasols, or as a temporary underwater magnet.

Please note: The full adhesive force is achieved when the ferromagnetic counterpart is smooth and of sufficient thickness and when the pot magnet makes direct and full flush contact. Pot magnets already lose much of their adhesive force at a distance of only half a millimetre to the ferromagnetic surface.
