A "Cappuccino" magnet holds easily over 10 A4 sheets. Anything else?
The aluminium forms are filled with Fimo, a modelling clay that is available in various colours. The lighter brown shades are rolled out in fine stripes and moulded into the clay. Then, the decorated clay is hardened in the oven at 110░C and a disc magnet is attached.
Same design, same elaborate handiwork and the perfect gift: Candy. The sweet temptation.
These deco magnets are a creation of the Transmet studio in Wil in Switzerland. Transmet is a program for employment seekers. The goal is the reintegration into the job market. With your purchase you support this useful initiative.
Here a few impressions of the production of this article: The first step is cutting aluminium forms.
Each form is hand-trimmed and honed.
The form is filled and decorated with a so-called "polymer clay", a modelling material that feels like the colourful play dough for children, but that hardens when baked in the oven.
