[278] Knife board with base

This beautiful knife board made from solid wood is suitable for various knife lengths
I needed a 2,8 cm thick solid wood board made from beech tree in the dimensions:
- 45 x 25 cm for the magnetic board and
- 45 x 10 cm for the base
I cut the wood board at a diagonal angle to accommodate the various knife sizes and lengths.
Then I had to drill 86 holes with exact diameters and exact depths. That sounds relatively easy, but in practice it proved to be rather time-consuming!
Finally, I carefully sanded the board and drilled holes in the base for the mounting of the board. Then I glued the magnets into the drilled holes and screwed the magnetic knife board together. At the end, I only had to varnish the knife board, and done!
