Which magnets do you recommend for walls painted with magnetic paint?
You won't find magnetic paint in our shop. It is not suitable for shipping due to its weight.
Magnets develop only a fraction of their maximum adhesive force on magnetic paint. Therefore, use large enough super magnets, especially cubes and discs. Magnets in steel pot are not suitable for application on magnetic paint).
In "Do it Yourself" markets you can find magnetic paint made by various manufacturers, e.g. "Magnetic Paint" from Motip Dupli. This paint contains iron powder, which is generally only available in grey and therefore requires a covering coat of paint in a more pleasing color. We do not sell magnetic paints in our shop due to the heavy weight of the material (and therefore the high cost of delivery).
To obtain the best possible holding strength, we suggest you apply 3-4 coats of magnetic paint. With each coat you increase the amount of iron powder on the wall, which improves the holding strength.
Magnets in a steel pot from the series PBM, CSN, FTN and GTN are not ideal for use on magnetic-painted wall because these items required solid metal surfaces to hold well.

Please note, however, that all magnets only have a fraction of their indicated adhesive force on magnetic paint. They will hold your notes, photos and postcards just fine, but don't expect them to hold framed pictures.
The right magnets and realistic expectations regarding adhesive force can make a wall painted with magnetic paint a fun and practical space. We have one in our headquarters in Uster.
